Maverick is a 30 year old Irish Draft cross who was previously a public riding horse. 
He was rescued from an auction by his former owner.  The former owner suffered a major illness and became unable to provide for Maverick's special needs. When he arrived here, he was exhibiting signs of Cushings disease and was very underweight.  He also needed the services of a farrier and a dentist and needed routine veterinary care aside
from care for his Cushings disease.  Maverick has a special diet of soaked hay stretcher pellets,
beet pulp and Vintage Senior Feed.  He has gained all of his weight back and is being treated for his Cushings.
